HOW IT WORKS
Spread your loved ones ashes in six easy steps.
#1: Authorize & Pay
Complete the "Authorization for Scattering At Sea" form. If you are unable to download the form, we would be happy to email you a copy.
#4: Confirm
We will contact you to confirm shipment of your loved ones remains, and confirm details of the memorial service.
#2: Shipping Container
Order your (no cost) “Cremated Remains Kit 2” from the USPS at usps.com or from your local post office. The kit should contain: 1 box, Priority Mail Express Tape, Bubble Cushioning, Self-sealing Plastic Bag, and Publication 139. At the time of shipping the USPS should also attach an orange “Cremated Remains” label on the box.
#5: Scatter
We will lovingly scatter your loved ones ashes within 30 days of receiving them. We try to look for a day the seas are calm and the sun is shining.
#3: Mail
Insert a copy of the authorization in the outer cremated remains shipping container and send the package to us via USPS Priority Mail Express. You will need to use this Created Remains Label when mailing the package (labels are also available at your local post office).
#6: Follow-up
Following the event, we’ll send you a link to watch the service at a later viewing, as well as a certificate providing the coordinates of scattering. We’ll also take care of filing all required paperwork.
